Street Corner Mahjong Privacy Policy
Effective: October 18, 2026
This policy covers Street Corner Mahjong (街角雀馆, previously 街角麻雀), provided by KX Works, including the browser demo and Android versions (package dev.kxworks.streetcornermahjong; test packages may add a suffix). Contact [email protected]. Services differ by platform and version; the Android disclosures also apply to test builds that enable those services.
1. Local Matches and Settings
The game does not require a separate KX Works account. Matches and recovery backups, settings, tutorial state, play activity, statistics, and supported nickname and avatar choices are stored in your browser or on your device. The browser demo uses local storage. Android or device backups may copy or restore local data according to your settings. There is currently no cross-device cloud-save service.
Clearing site data or app storage may remove progress and preferences. Private browsing may not retain progress. Local match storage does not mean that advertising, analytics or diagnostic data always stays on the device.
2. Browser Demo and Website Visits
The current browser game does not load Android advertising SDKs or native Firebase services. The product page, outer play page and website use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions. See the KX Works Privacy Policy for cookies, browser and device information, and controls.
Hosting and content-delivery providers receive technical data such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and access time to deliver pages and game resources and maintain security. Opening this policy or the terms from the app also makes an ordinary website request; the app does not append match saves to those links.
3. Android Advertising and Privacy Choices
Advertising-enabled Android versions use Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen SDK). Depending on the version and configuration, they display interstitial ads between hands or a native ad when returning to the game. Builds using official Google test ads may still contact Google's advertising and consent services. The browser demo does not request these mobile ads.
The advertising SDK may process IP address and estimated general location, app and ad interactions, app and device diagnostics, and identifiers such as Android advertising ID and app set ID for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. The game does not append local match saves or nicknames to ad requests.
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) checks advertising privacy requirements at startup, shows consent forms when required, and allows ad requests only when permitted by the SDK. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, you can revisit choices in the game's advertising privacy settings. Android advertising-ID controls are also available. Non-personalized or limited ads do not stop all technical processing. Advertising choices do not switch off Firebase analytics, crash reporting or remote configuration.
See the Google Privacy Policy and GMA Next-Gen SDK data disclosure.
4. Android Analytics, Crash Reports and Remote Configuration
Usage analytics: versions with Google Analytics for Firebase send events such as game use, match or hand starts and completions, continued games and actual ad impressions, along with app-instance identifiers and device and app-version information. Current newer versions enable analytics by default and retain existing choices; some earlier test builds first ask for a choice. You can disable it in Settings under “使用統計” (Usage statistics) without affecting play. The game does not upload nicknames, complete hands or match saves through these events.
Crash reports: versions with Firebase Crashlytics send crash and unresponsive-app details, stack traces, diagnostic logs, device and app-version information and installation-related identifiers to diagnose faults. There is currently no separate crash-reporting switch. Disabling usage analytics does not automatically disable Crashlytics.
Remote configuration: versions with Firebase Remote Config request settings such as advertising switches and frequency from Google and cache them locally. The service processes installation identifiers and app and device technical information needed to provide configuration. It operates separately from the usage-analytics switch.
These services send the relevant data to Google. Earlier versions without Firebase do not perform this processing. See Firebase privacy and security information.
5. Support and Service Providers
If you send feedback by email, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you provide to respond and handle your request. The “意見回報” (Feedback) entry opens your email app; you decide whether to send the message. Please avoid passwords, payment details and unnecessary sensitive information.
Hosting, advertising, analytics, diagnostic, configuration and email providers process information for their respective services, potentially outside your country. We may also disclose relevant information when required by law or necessary to address security or legal requests.
6. Retention and Security
Local data remains until removed or replaced by you, the game, browser or operating system; device backups have their own retention settings. Support email is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations. Service data is retained according to each service's purpose, settings, provider policies and legal requirements. Uninstalling or clearing local data does not automatically delete records already processed by third parties.
The website uses HTTPS. No transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security; service providers publish their own security measures.
7. Your Choices and Deletion Requests
- Local data: clear kxworks.dev site data in your browser, or clear app storage or uninstall on Android. Clearing all site data also affects other games on this website. Manage device and cloud backups separately.
- Usage analytics: open “使用統計” in supported Android versions and disable it. This stops future analytics collection and resets local analytics data; it is not a request to erase existing server records, and does not switch off advertising, crash reporting or remote configuration.
- Advertising: use the game's available advertising privacy entry and device advertising-ID controls. These do not delete all previously processed data.
- Privacy requests: email [email protected], naming Street Corner Mahjong, your platform and version. We may need information to locate records; an email address alone may not identify an installation. We handle requests for data we are responsible for under applicable law and, where appropriate, help you contact the relevant provider.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to a local data-protection authority.
8. Children's Privacy
The product is not primarily directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy and its date when the product or data practices change, with additional notice or consent where required.
